repairs will cost alot more than 200. i payed 850 for a new hood and windhshield after i slammed a deer. i didnt even bother repairing the cracked front bumper. and that was the cheapest price around here.
u payed so much cuz u replaced two of the most expensive exterior peices on the car. like i said earlier, my cousin owns a body shop, so i get parts for the price that he pays. and the fact that im gonna be doing the labor, cuts that out completly, if i had someone fix it, i would say about 500 to 800 bucks, maybe more, but since im gonna do it myself to save money, im gonna say i can get it all done, for 200 or under. oh yea, hoods fine, just scuffed |

sucks about the car. hope there isn't too much damage.
heh since I moved out of Houston and into Spring Texas (suburbs) I constantly see dead racoons, deer and possums ALL over the place lol dead skunk stink like a mofo... word of advise: dont run a dead skunk over. I kept seeing this dead skunk for a few days over on the main road that leads into my subdivision, Well a few days ago on my car, decided to be a dick and just run over it to see what happened. Never in my entire life did I imagine that little dead fucker would still stink soooooo bad, I almost had to pull over and vomit. It wasnt the dead animal stench that got me, I can deal with that; But the horrendous skunk stench... I can still smell it when I get into my car. moral of the story: Dont be a dick! ![]() Anyways..... got any pics of the damage? dead deer? ![]() |

I hit a deer at 80mph on the way up to Austin on 71 a year or so ago... just clipped it, but I saw the fucker drop and roll on the highway behind me. No damage to the truck.
Deer 0, Mike 1 ![]() If there's something in the road that I can't avoid with a car that's too low to just pass straight over it, I usually try to aim the car so that the tires roll over the obstacle. That way I don't catch any of it under the car, and I hit it with something that can still absorb some shock. |

Couple months ago I was on my way home with some food. I hit up the highway and cruised at 80.
About a half mile up there was a car just cruisin along. All of a sudden I see brake lights and the guy swerving over. Meanwhile I see an 18 wheeler lock his wheels up and slide to the side of the road. I'm like shit... so I slow down and move to the left lane. Just before I get up to where the car stops I see something in the road. It's a fucking dear head. I dropped my damn mozzerella stick in my lap and calmly jerk the wheel to move into the right lane, and then back into the left lane to stay out of the massive puddle of blood and bits of carcass that were all over that lane. I get up to where the car was and as I pass I can see that the headlight is gone and the hood is bent into a giant L shape. Meanwhile the truck driver and his passenger were running back to help them. I would have stopped had the truck not... but that's as close to hitting any deer (or parts of one) as I've ever been. |
