also if any of our members live in a market where they sell the tl badged as a inspire/sabre could they help me out with the parts i need. BTW i think i figured out that it was badged as 3 different names, tl as an acura in the us, and as a sabre or inspire as a honda depending on what market it was sold

![]() I can't wait to get a better camera phone. I've seen so much rice lately, I could have mistaken the highways with a Chinese restuarant. (yeah I know that metaphor was dumb and probably didn't make sense lol) |

no ricer badges ...real jdm honda badges, he wants to represent honda and set his off from everyone elses.
i don't get why you would consider jdm parts to be rice, i know they are just emblems not performance mods but come on, if you saw a tl sitting on 17 in gram lights, badged as a honda you would think it was cool, did i forget to mention the manual conversion that is in the works, Tl's aren't civic hatches, it's a different ballgame. What about you guys with your ferio badges, same thing |

It's rice because you are badging the saying it's what ever modle and it isn't, Steering wheels on the wrong side, ECU isn't JDM, different motor, suspension. I don't have any Ferio badges on my car. Now if your brother actually put all JDM parts in there an so it was the same as a JDM car then it would be ok, but it's just like people with 240s that put silvia badges on it, It's not and never will be a real JDM ride so don't mis represent your car. This is just my opinion though i really could care less.
And your right and old TL isn't a hatch, It's a slow slush box that was premature ejectlation honda put out to try and capitalize on a luxory market and failed. Now if it was an RL or a new TL then i would be a completely differant ball game but it isnt'. Good luck though. I We wanna see pics!!! |

I wouldn't go so far as to call it ricer, but it's kinda lame... yeah, it's just like people who put ferio badges on civics, or fairlady badges on 300zxs, or sylvia badges on 240s. the import community makes fun of all of those people equally.
the reason, i think, is that it's pointless unless you're going for a JDM reproduction feel... like RHD, all JDM factory compenents. Plus, nobody will ever go up to him at a gas station and be like "man, those badges are TIGHT! sweet car." rather, you should have him remove all the stock badging, and instead of a honda grill, get this: http://www.kingmotorsports.com/product.asp?detail=608 a clean TL with no badging to distract the eyes, even bone stock except for 1 rare JDM part like a mugen grill, will get 1000x more respect than a honda-ish TL thing.

werd that grille is hot.
I agree, have him strip all badging off all together. I can't lie, at one point in time i wanted to put a 1.8T bages off of a jetta on my civic, Still do some days but i'm just going to shave them all off. |

that grille is nice but won't fit his car it's a 1996, i understand what you guys are saying but it's not my car and these are the parts he has been looking for. He found the power folding mirrors with the switches, he is going for a jdm look. is he going to convert it to rhd, no. Is it something i would do probably not, just trying to get him a late christmas present
