wow congrats. it didn't take that much time at all to find a new job..and one that seems better! i've been at it for almost a year. luckily i still have a job though. i may end up having to take a step down, which totally sucks because i'm going to have to take a pay cut. that's not cool when i have to start paying back student loans at the end of the year. i'm pretty much stuck in a job rut and the longer i stay here, the worse off i will be.

yeah im pretty shocked that i found one this quick too. i was gearing up for an unhealthy stay on my couch, lol.

finding the job was kind of a shot in the dark. i guy i used to work with mentioned the companies name and i looked them up on google and found thier site. while checking out the site i saw a "carreer" section. within it all it said was where and to whom to send a resume. but it didnt say whether or not they actually had any opening. but i figured fuck it.

I typed up a cover letter and mailed it last wednesday. then the very next day i get a call from a manager there. he said they wanted to meet me and i went on an interview that same day. everything went really well and they made it seem like i was in. they finally called me yesterday and formally offered the position. they offered me what i was making at my last job which is a plus. the only that i'll have to get used to is the 45 minute comute. but fuck it, lol

Sounds like what happened to me about 2 weeks ago.

The Parent company (IPG) told the company right under them (CMG) to tell the company I was working at (Octagon) that they didnt need 2 Accounts Payable people... and since I was only there for a year and a half as opposed to my coworker who was there for 3 years... i got the boot as well as one of the Jr. Accountants, and all of the temps that were working there...

It was cool tho cause i was beginning to hate that fucking job anyways. What was even cooler tho was the fact that I got layed off on a friday at noon and I had a new job at 4:00pm the SAME DAY. Not only did I find a new job with the quickness, Im working at a bigger company (a little less pay) with one of my best friends, and its literally a 7 minute drive from my house to my chair at work.

I got a job as an Order Manager at DLT solutions www.dlt.com (we make AutoCAD software, as well as sell Redhat, Adobe, and other software packages and liscences to The govt. and Govt contractors.) The other day i processed an order that went to the department where my sister works at the Defense Logistics Agency over at Ft. Belvoir.

I'm glad you found a job man! Things always work out, well if you motivate yourself to straighten things out they do. Some people complain about not being able to find a job, yet they're too lazy to get off their ass and go look for one. As for you, you started distributing those resumes shortly after you lost your job, and not even two weeks later you found one!

Good luck on this new job.

I did manage to save my old job but since the bullshit that went down with the owner of company deciding to close down the dept i decided to bounce..... My director convinced him to keep like 3 of us in the dept instead of like 20 or 25...

Today i got a new one for over 10K more a year plus commision..... I might be able to keep my job part time so i can make some extra cash for mods and whatever else i wanna do... Ima senior rep there and noone can touch my sales #s so i figure why leave Talking to my boss tommorow or monday!

New job.... Spring Global Mail Solutions

Business to Business sales baby!
