Congratulations Kirwin! Wanna buy my Alpine 7998? Cleanest head unit Alpine ever made, including everything that followed it!

I think i might rather the Evo over the STi... But its even more expensive, alot people have them here, and Mitsu's reliability and warranty coverages worry me....Im not a rich guy by any means so i just dont have time for problems with a BRAND new car. STi just seems like a better deal to me.

I'll tell you this. I've recently had the opportunity to work with a group of engineers from Mitsubishi Heavy Industies straight out of Japan (parent company for all Mitsubishi), and they don't even drive Mitsubishi cars for company cars. They drive Toyotas because "Mitsubishi cars are not reliable." Those are the words straight out of his mouth. When the big mother Mitsubishi umbrella company doesn't drive its own motor division cars because of reliability issues- that says a LOT.

That Tint price seems high.... I paid 150$ with warrenty (even though its 15%)

[/b]
maybe in SC it's $150 for tint, but Kirwin is in NYC and everything is more expensive in NYC.

congrats on the car. glad to see some people following through with their dreams/plans.

Yeah, I've seen countless Evos blow up at autocrosses...and somebody always has a problem with them. They're not even a step up from the older Eclipses in the reliability/quality department.

Good luck with the car man.

I just thought it was funny that I heard it straight from a Mitsubishi engineer.

Yeah that is pretty funny. Although, I'm sure it's not the engineers' faults that the cars suck. The people on top tell them how much money they have to work with...and I'm sure it's not enough. Especially in a company that is falling apart...I'm sure they're trying to cut corners wherever possible.
