Ok, so first I go around a curve a little too fast and smacked into a snow(ice) bank. Broke part right off (as previously mentioned in other posts)
 3 days later it got broken into and my head unit, amp and sub got jacked   My insurance company screwed me over and said they would only cover the damages and the stereo. Since the sub box wasn't bolted to the body if the car, that wasn't covered. Seriously though, even if you go to an install shop a simple box is never bolted to the body of the car.

that was covered b/c it was installed in the factory location

yeah.. anything thats in the factory location.. is covered.. so even if youve got a $300000 speaker in the factory location.. its covered... if its in a box in your trunk.. you have to get extra coverage. Its not that expensive. I got $2,000 worth of stereo goodies insured for an extra $30 a year. Pretty good IMO
