well my buddy and i finally finished installing the new motor and all the aftermarket shit that went along with it. it took us a while, but we took our time and did it right and payed alot of attention to the details.
the only down side is, it wont start, lol. i think its a fuel issue. hopefully i'll have it straightened out this weekend. i think theres too much fuel pressure. so im getting a gauge tomorow. i just figured i'd post some pics of the semi-finished product. so here goes. some of these you may have seen, if so, i apologize. let me know what you think. heres the final product as of right now. the filter prolly isnt in the best place, but its if i have heat issues i'll move it. ![]() its welded to a 3" greddy mx downpipe that had to modified. heres some shots of the 3" downpipe i had welded up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here you can see the msd ignition and coil ![]() ![]() |

sorry for the wait everyone. i did get it started, saturday. ended up being a combination of things. mainly one of the pipes on the intercooler being taped shut to keep dust out. lol. i felt like such an ass when i found that. i guess my buddy asked me if i took all the tape off, and i said yes. cuz i thought he meant just the tape that was on the turbo, but i guess he meant everywhere.
while we were in trouble shooting mode, i guess we just werent thinking it could be something so simple and stupid. the fuel pressure regulator was also set very high. found that out once i got a guage. so once we got rid of the tape and lowered the fule pressure, she fired right up. THANK GOD. |
