That battery has a gut lol. Looking nice, but what exactly is the blanket for? Concealing the turbo, or to keep it out of the weather?

it insulates the turbo so less heat escapes from it. Thermo-tec, the company that makes the kit says that it will keep temps in the engine bay cooler and allow the turbo to spool better. but who knows if the spooling part is true.

underneath the silver layer is a wide layer of the tan exhaust wrap.

im using it mainly to avoid this......lol

the battery deformity was not caused by heat. its on the other side of the engine bay, away from the turbo.

i think the battery may have done that becuase it was either a defect or from over charging it. not sure though. I contacted the company that makes the batteries. they've been ok to deal with and from the beginning they said they would replace the battery. they said they would email shipping labels to print out so i could ship the battery to them and not have to pay for it. However, i've given them my email address 4 different times and still have not recieved the tags. so im not sure if they're being nice on the phone and then dicking me around or not. they're prolly hoping i'll go away. but if a $150 battery blows up, im gettin a new one, lol.

I last spoke to them on tuesday and they said they would just send me a new one right away instead of waiting for the old one first. but we'll see if that happens.

I dont want to relocate the battery though. cuz if i do i'll have to have it in a sealed battery box thats properly mounted and vented. and i'll also have to run a kill switch. and i dont feel like doing any of that. lol.

that battery (before packin on some weight) was like 3" wide. crazy small.
