After 4 years of hearing my wife complain about having a truck, she finally got it.
My wife is what most people would call corn-bred white girl, -- She was born in rosenberg Texas (outside of houston) -- She has that texas twang -- Likes Trucks and i mean the bog diesel ones! -- Likes living in the country (thus my 1 hour commute to work from the outskirts of Houston to my work place) and up until she met me she did not like "those little cars", but since we were sving money to buy a house we opted for a civic ex back in late 2002, and i upgraded from my 96 sedan to my current 2002 si. Well, at the time she wanted a truck, but because of their price we decided it would be best to get started off with a small sedan for her, with the promise of getting her one later on. so yesterday she finally got her damn truck! its a 2006 Honda Ridgeline RT its not the top of the line model but its a damn nice one, i drove it, i liked it, its nice but the mpg is baaaaaaad! still the truck handles really well, its quiet and the enclosed box under the truckbed screams for ice and beer!!! I only have this crappy pic for now, but more will come BTW yes it is about as stock as it can be but even then the engine, few bells and whistles are pretty nice imo. drive out price was 24k (buying cars in the country rocks!) ![]() |

damn, nice... i thought those had the odyssey engine in 'em? If so, they shouldn't get that poor of gas mileage, b/c our odyssey gets like 25/28 i think... yay 5spd v6's
but it's still sweet, and that's a good deal for a brand new one.

?well she wanted a big ass truck, and im not a fan of those, ive never bought anything other than a honda (besides my '73 240Z and my 85 lebaron gtc and an '83 pontiac sunfire that were all given to me)
so i told her to buy a truck she needed to keep payments at the same range, not much of an increase on the insurance and i6 had to be on her name, the civic sedan was on my name. so she jumped on it and got the ridgeline. Besides, that means a fully paid car goes on my credit ![]() bad thing is she wont let me drive it for some time, she came home last night, and while she was heading to the restroom i snatched the keys from her and took it for a 20 m,inute drive lol i like it, she loves it, im sure my wallet will hate it (gas). and Kirwin, country girls are a-ok! ![]() |

Very nice! I actually saw a Ridgeline with a Tommy Lift and a bed full of contractor tools in it for the first time today.
