Heres the deal,short story:
A couple of weeks ago this kid in a 6th gen SI with bookshelf wing, aftermarket bumper and Del Sol wheels rolls up to me and ask"You wanna go? Me:"SO i say "is that a REAL Si?" Him:"Why don't u run me and find out" Him: What you got under there?" Me:Just a swap, (pop my hood) Him and his friend: "AHh an integra motor: Me: "Ohh yeah...*snicker*" Now this kids si is fucked up,busted and cracked bumper, busted windshield, the cars interior is a mess and smells like cig smoke. SO i turn him down since the roads were wet and i did have someone in the car(i won't race with a passenger with me),but i told him i would like to run him later.I asked him why the del sol wheels he says i traded my stock SI ones for these.Anyway i start asking him about the engine, how many miles etc..he says about 500 since the rebuild.I say what did they do to it Stock oem internals or what, he says "whatever they do to it or put in it.SO bottom line the kid gave me an impression he was a real tool.He also made the commment "i still have my chrome 17''s!!!!"I say put them on too!!! LOL After our litle convo, his buddy gets off the phone and says "we gotta go".They then get in the car and burn down the parking lot, pull the e brake and peel out...they are waaay 2F&F for me! We haven't run yet and it doesn't look like we wil get a chance to this year. SO my question is,how many ppls think i could keep him or take him in a race to say 75mph.He weighs in at almost 2700lbs, and i think my car is between 2000 and 2100,runnin 15 in wheels and soon to be stripped rear interior.Basically i just want chance to beat this riceboy and then tell him he got beat by a ZC.I have nothing to lose,if i beat him then he got beat by a ZC,if i lose then it is no biggie, i am the underdog! Any thoughts and feedback are welcome. |

I really dont think he's worth the risk of a STREETRACE, but If you do take it to a track then Id say I have a feeling the title is yours. Think about it a little. I see 600lbs difference (not including if u strip it) maybe more torque on your end of it, and what sounds like to be that you have more racing knowledge. Shift straight and you should take him. Also 80mph + he will kill your shit if its a real Si.
BTW - what kinda dumbass trades stock civic Si wheels for some Sol wheel (no offense to Sol drivers) but thats just . |

Yes it was a real SI...and i know in the top end he would kill me,but just based on the cars weight, and his F&F inability to drive, i think i can take him.
On another note b4 he had the si he had a 5th gen EX coupe sittin on his 17' chromes, which i raced against when i had the stock motor in my hatch.I beat his ass handlely. My stock motor had close to 240k on it when i beat him,so it is blatantly obvious he can't drive. |

LOL!!!
hahaahahI did put that in there....ya this kid traded his SI rims for 14" Del Sol rims and he got $350 on top of that...so i guess it was a good trade. But i dunno if i would have parted with those rims.I would have kept them and powder coated them! |

I still want to find the kid in Ithaca who's got the Tag. and the reving problem, haha
Darrell and I were cruising through the big Weg.s parking lot in our HBs when we found a few FnF'ers too. It's got to be something about that plaza that brings out the rice in people, hahaha Oh well . . I'll have to take a trip over there while I've still got the 4-dr and teach them who's boss! ![]() lates. |
