So if i relocate, i need a master kill switch. in the NHRA bule book it says that this switch has to be accessable from the outside of the car. anyone here relocated and know what i need to do. the sooner the response, the better, cause im starting my swap today!!! between school and work, im hoping to have it done in about three weeks. (yes I am doing it)

copy . . paste . . there!

<marquee><span style="color:red">http://www.ws6.com/batt-relocate.htm</span></marquee>

All you'll want to do as far at the master kill switch is concerned is find a nice location closest the battery up insice a wheelwhel!

You'll have to:

take off the wheel, figure out were the battery is, mount the kill switch, drill 2 holes for the positive battery cable to run in and out of, feed the battery cable out of the car . . through your hole #1 . . to the switch . . and tighten it in. Then, take the other end of thr cable and do the same thing . . through hole # 2. When you finish connecting that cable to the switch you will have created a loop for the power to either flow through . . or be shut off from.

*Make 100% sure that you can easily access the switch with your wheel on and the car on the ground . . . You don't want to have to take your tire off everytime you want to start the car now do ya?!

Hopefully you'll get what I'm saying!

If not, hollar back and I'll be even more spacific. Either that or I'll pick on ya!

Later.

I have seen where people place the switch behind the licence plate.. remove the plate when racing and the switch is right there.

That sounds like a much better idea there, especially if the batt. is going to be in the trunk. you dont want the track nazis telling you that the switch up inside your fender is not accessable.

also you could just have the switch out the back.. anywhere.. but have the knob for the switch be removable. and take it off when you don't need it.

You cannot put it in your wheel well. It must be noticeable from the outside of the car so when you wreck or whatnot the officials can get to it without any doubts where its at. The back of the car is your best bet and where most put it anywho.
