new to the boards here, so i guess ill make my first post with a race story since it just happend tonite.
anyway, im in Towson, MD driving on 695 and i am just cruizing, well at one of the on ramps i see a cavaleir come up onto the beltway. i think to myself heh this could turn out to be another gay j-body kill for me. i notice the car is pretty clean, it has a nice kit and some decent graphics on the side. anyway im driving around 50mph and i pass him slowly, very slowly and i hear this thing sounds like a jet. its whistling its ass off im like god is this thing turbo?? anyway i pass him not thinking too much at the time and i hear him drop gears and he makes me look like im standing still. ok i think ill play. so i drop gears as well and pop it up to like 5k in 3rd and try to play catch up but hes too far ahead at this point. so i follow him for a bit and i notice hes moving off into the dundalk area. well i have nothing to do so i follow him. we get to a light and his window is down. i yell out to him "what you got in that thing man?" he tells me its supercharged. im like christ, so after following him thru 3 lights we finally get to a red light. i hear him blipping the throttle so im getting all excited. just for peoples info i have a b18c1 in a 93 hatch, and i run a 14.4 pretty consistantly. anyway i feather my reves around 3k and look at the intersection lights change to red. i launch like a champ but god this cavalier pulls off the line like a monster. he puts about half a car on me off the line. now im trying to play catch up. i stay in 2nd while i hear him shifting to 3rd. i stay steady with him into 3rd and he starts pulling on me. we shut it down around 90 with him about 1 car ahead of me. i pull up next to him and say christ man, that things bad. he just laughs and asks if he knows anyone trying to buy a supercharged cavalier. i think to myself too bad its not a honda :P so i lick my wounds and get back on the beltway to go home.

cliffs: see a nice cavalier. its loud as shit. we go from a roll but hes too far ahead from the start. we catch a light and he takes my gsr hatch by little more then 1 car. cant win em all.

I knnow the cavi i think if it was blue then i know who it is, if it makes u fell ne better the cavi is on tire, but regaurless ill beat it tire or not!!!!

A supercharged cavi???? i wonder what that puts out? eng probably wont make it past 100k or so. They arent built at all for abuse. Or at least I thought!!
