earlier tonight i was hanging out w/ a couple of friends. so were just chillin whne this really loud car pulled up. it had all the rice excessories (neon exhaus tips, and more lights on it than the uss voyager)turned out it was a 1984 vw cabriolet. after the guys in the car got out we asked themwhat they had. when he popped the hood it liiked really little but it had like 13 spark plug wires. anyway just playin around. a buddy pf mine w/ a 94 5.0 asked hime to race.he was like ok.
well when they pull off the mustang got him but by about 45 mph the vw totally are him up. we both were like wtf.

if anyone has ever heards the specs for one of those please let me know.

well let me tell you some things about VW guys.......... they dont usually run stock motors let alone the motors from VWs. By partner at work and good friend is into VWs and german stuff. Anywho his mechanic and friend has all kinds of crazy stuff. but the best one (besides his twin turboed bug with a 2.5 subie motor) is his daily driven 80 something vanagan with a 2.5 subie motor pushing 260 at the wheels. Im tellin ya thos VW guys are sneaky!!!!

They have a ton of tricks that they use to make insane power, plus even the older VW's have limited slip so he has a traction advantage, and most likely he was boosted in one way or another. Most all of the really fast ones turbo or spray.

A friend of mine has a 98 VW VR6 2door. Now...he reved to 5,000 rpm and then all of the sudden it felt like the ground gaveaway on us! He did what they call a swiss cheese intake. You put like 5-6 holes the size of nickels into your stock airbox and it gives the same if not a better increase than an ordinary intake?!?! i never heard of it before. Civics taking off their airbox yeah but he got a rock in his motor and had to tear it apart to get it out. I found this odd about his VR6 though. He says he's pushing like 170Hp but he didnt say if it was BHP or at the wheel???? He claims to spank on mustangs.. GT's and 6's of course (excluding the saleen, cobra & roush)

The only mustangs he could 'mabye' beat are the late 90's versions (95-99), in which case it would be from a dead stop. From a roll i dont think he could beat any gt mustang, unless of course he has 170 at the wheels, which i doubt.

I highly doubt its at the wheels as well, but he wasnt specific with the year but im almost positive you are right because 87-93 barely exist around my area now. I dont know exactly what he is pushing. All i know is a has a homemade intake, and a full Carbon fiber exhaust with dual working tips on each side..He has a kamei bodykit on it now so i know that knocked off a lil torque but not enough to cost him kills im sure. he will beat me so .....I guess Ill give him the credit he deserves so he doesnt call me out to the line.
