I have 16 inch mr7's on the SI, before they were on my 4 door dx so when i got the SI I moved the wheels and tires to the new ride, so here is my problem:
this id the old ride with the wheels. t hey fit just right...

Here is a shot of the same rims/tires on the SI:

There's this huge wheel gap like almost 2 inches!!!(I know it may be a bit hard to see and I have not had time to take any new pics). I have seen on some cars the tires seem a bit wider. so does anyone know of a good tire soze that could give me that look? also I need bigger tires so if anyone could tell me what would be a good tire size? I'df ask the guys at discount tire co. but they are the ones that sold me these to begin with?
oh yeah and i cant droop the car because of warranty issues
Any ideas, help would be appreciated.

So let me get this straight..... your old car with the mr7's fit nicely.. but the new car with same said rims has a gap? If im reading this correctly...
THe newer Si probably just has an overall higher ride height compared to the old 4 door you had. Plus there could have been some "sag" in the springs of the 6th gen. I dunno.. just a thought. As for bigger tires... i think 205/55 is the biggest your gonna be able to go with 16's. But maybe seeing as how it sits so high.. you could cram some 205/60's on there.

And screw warranty. Drop the bish... keep all your stock components... and if something goes wrong... throw all the old stuff back on... and pass by the dealer.

I have always liked them and it took me looong time to get them out of lay-a-way(I was working at Jason's Deli and you can only go so far at 10/hr making ruebens...so it took me about a year, by the time I got them out they were everywhere...but oh well I have a better job, so its just a matter of time 'til the spoonies get ordered...woohooo I love having a good job!!!

anyways as 60's? i think the ones I have right now are like 45's and the mini-minivan does ride a lot higher...
thanks...kyle_G

The tire size on the 7G Civics are significantly taller than the tires on the 6G Civic. Go find out what tire size you need to match the stock tire diameter on the Si, and buy new tires that are the right height. You'll retain your stock gearing, close some of that gap, and look better too.

thanks Mike....
Should I go with 60's or 75's also the stock tire size on the si is 195/75 r15's( I think) and they look like scooter wheels so if move on to 17's will it mess my stock gearing? Do you suggest that I keep the 16" rim?
