Discuss the Replacing Shocks And Struts? thread at the Suspension forums at the CivicLand Honda Civic Forums.
When you lower a car, is it necessary to replace the shocks and struts for a decent ride, or could you go without it? Would the ride be really shitty ...

Your stock shocks won't last very long after lowering the car. Might as well get the shocks too, and do it all at once.

if you are lowering your car your stock shocks will blow within 6 months, But you will notice a crappy ride within 3 weeks. like everyone said change you shocks while our at it and save yourself some time,
Good shocks to go with
KYB

10 struts in about a year...i was able to get them real cheap. although my car isnt lowered anymore. took them off. struts were blown, winter was comming and i picked up a set of 00 si strut and springs for $100 which my car is on now...when i do lower it again i will go with aftermarket struts...anyone want to buy some neuspeed soft sport springs? for a 5th. had them on a 6th gen though...
