well last night was the first time i took my car for about a 40 mi trip down 64 west. The ride is really stiff. I can feel about every bump in the road. Im thinking it might be because of the size of the tires on my GSR rims (195/55/15). I just looked up the part number of my springs on tanabe's website, they are springs for a 92-95 Coupe/Sedan (But they have the same lowering height and spring rate). I dunno maybe the springs need time to settle before it becomes a really confortable ride. I mean i had the same setup on my old civc but i had meatier tires on there (195/60/14's).

I dunno tell me what you guys think, they coupe never rode like this...

Most springs do need to settle in at first, but did you just get springs or did you get shocks with it? And obviously if the shocks are adjustable you could change the dampening rate to better comfort, even until the springs settle and then go back to setting the dampers stiffer.

55 series tires, IMO shouldn't give a bad ride. i have 17" rims with 40 series tires and the ride isnt that bad at all. in fact, its better than the ride i got with my slammed crx with 50 series tires.

check your air pressure in the tires.. and maybe drop it down a couple psi

Maybe its because your springs are designed for a slightly heavier car?

but the spring rate and lowering height is both the same....

Wouldn't dropping PSI further ruin ride quality? It betters traction but I would think that it takes away from absorption, no?

Lowering the pressure would add more cushion to the ride...it would make the tires softer, and absorb bumps more.
