Just wondering how many of you all needed camber kits after lowering, and if so, what kit/how low you dropped your car? I just installed a set of NeuSpeed Sport Springs that lowers 1.75 in the front and 1.5 in the back (55.20.21r and 55.20.21f ), and I'm not sure if I need one. Thanks

ive got a set of teins on my car. 1.8in front and back.

have yet to get a camber kit and probably wont until i see it necessary < when the inside of my tires are bald and the outside isnt >. but most likely it wont be too noticable.

in other words, with your drop its not really essential, there will be slight wear differances, but not enough to loose sleep over. its not absolutely neccesary.

my thoughts are buy the kit, have the options of going lower, and save some money spent on prematurely replacing your tires.

I would get a camber kit. I had less of a drop than yours, and started to tear up tires really fast once I got some power going to the front wheels.

yup, he's already dumped a lot of money into his car so i'll assume he'll be keeping it for a while. that camber kit will pay for itself pretty quick.

If you have the money pick one up. As of right now your drop isn't goingt o make any huge tire wear but it's aways best to have no negative wear on the tires. I'm lowered about 1.75-2" and don't have one and i'm just starting to see alittle uneven wear.

I dropped my car in the beginning about 2"..I started to see how not having a camber kit was doing to my tires..so I bought a skunk 2 camber kit. It made a hell of a difference on tire wear.

Well, I had the same kind of drop on my old Accord and it didn't need a camber kit. I have crappy tires (I think they may be the original OEM tires) so I can experiment on them. I just got my car aligned today and here are the camber readings:

FL: -.09
FR: -1.7*
RL: -2.2*
RR: -2.2*

the * indicates that it didn't meet the specified range or standard (Front = -1 to 1, Rear = -2 to 2). Do these readings look serious?

I think if you're gonna modify the suspension, then do it right from the beginning. It'll save you many headaches (and dollars) later on.

When I had coilovers installed, I held off on getting a camber kit. That was before having to shell out $280 for 4 new tires less than 9 months later.

I purchased the Ingalls kit all the way around (actually, the back camber kit can be found for cheaper by purchasing the Arospeed one, which is manufactured by Ingalls), and it quickly paid itself off.

If I were you, get it done as soon as possible. You'll thank yourself later!

The rear can be done with longer bolts and washers between the control arm and the body of the car. For the front, I recomend the Skunk2 or the SPC camber kit. The part I like the best about the SPC is that it has both camber and caster adjustment, which is another adjustment that isn't adjustable from the factory.
