Okay, let's start by saying holy shit are suspension setups expensive! But I've done a ton of research over the past month or so, and then came accross what I think may be a good deal.
Now let me say after all of my researching, with money out of the picture I would go with a KW variant 2 or 3 Inox system. But $1500+ is a little out of range! And Tien? I couldn't get through all their different models in a whole day. It just kept going. But anyways, I find it would obviously be cheaper to match a set of coilovers with a set of shocks. So... The shocks I was considering are Tokico Illumina and KYB, and coilovers would be Skunk2 or Ground Control (mainly due to a low price and great performance rep). But I could only imagine that a complete coilover setup from one manufacturer would be a great way to go seeing as how the shock body is threaded for the coilover and the springs and shocks are designed to work with each other specifically. So I found a guy on ebay who is selling a set of Tokico FULL Illumina coilovers for $669 with free shipping. For a full coilover system, thats a great price and hundreds off what it retails for, but my question here is how are Tokico's springs? Does anyone have any input on this system? Or do you think seperate components would be a better choice... maybe for replacement options or whatever??? Thanks in advance. |

Wow, I never thought of that. Maybe I should take your advice and... wait a second, NO ONE has answered yet!!!
C'mon, I know not many of you have heard of Tokico before, what with their unpopular name, low distribution, and probably poor quality products and all. I'm sure they won't last as a company another year since they are so unwidely used. Anyone want to answer? It's me...DIY. I'm on the cool team, right? |

yes you did. Personally i think if you looking for a nice ride and are not going to be auto xing you don't need a full coilover set up

Willing to bet that tokico springs are really just rebadged eibach springs.. I'll see if i can look at the tokico springs at work tomorrow..
ohh and don't even rate them against tein.. tein are just so refined.. rebuildable.. and looking forward to a set of RA's on my own car.
