hey today my buddies hooked me up with and race. a 96 nissan maxima. so when the light went green he smoked me off the line by 1.5 car lenghts. at the end of the street i had him by a hood lenght. yeah! but off the line wtf. i droped it no more than 3k. im running kuhmos on 16s and i cant hook up at all.the next race i had to take an dodge dokaka rt i think some 5.9. anywho we raced and he kicked my ass of the line but farther down i was very slowly catching up. how ever again while on a rolling start i beat him by a bumper. so my queston to you is i need help hooking up. i run through first gear with no tractoin weather i drop the clutch of not. im running a 96 hatch w/ b18b.like i said kuhmos on 16s eibach drag launch springs and agx struts. would a traction bar help? what can i doto get an edge? also can you give me ideas about tires. i dont want extremly soft but good enough so get traction. whats a good rpm to drop at and if you have any ideas to help please please email me at. sleepin_civic@juno.com thanks alot!

how about I post my thought here...
![]() Yes a bar would help a lot, I think jimfab makes one and from what it is said on thhis board its pretty damn good. as far as the skipping and hoping..unless you get a traction bar you will more than likely never get rid of it. IMO you could start at a lower rpm but that may not be a good choice, i guess. That dakota driver must have sucked balls!! especially if it is a 5.9rt. then again i have never see a b18 powered hatch run one so ![]() look on the reviews or suspension forums. as a matter of fact the thread will get moced there. you may be able to get more help there.--esteban |

that throttle control will work alittle cause i have raced camaros off the line and have taken them. i will start working on that every once in a while. what are your opinions about lsd. should i get a trans from a type r or is it better to get an phantom grip or somthing like that and work off that. im not worried about prices yet seeing that im broke.

new motor mounts help get rid of the hopping. are they urithane mounts?? i dont remember what they are made out of, but a buddy put them in his FWD DSM, and they seemed to help a bit.
