i have em on my ride with a nice set of shocks IMO it rivals even the most expensive setup shocks cost me a pretty penny though, i wouldn't use them with stock struts. Dan (b16asilver) had the same and his rode nice as well.. cheap but acceptable IMO

edit: they have also handled well even with the swapped heavier motor

I'm real confused about my suspension right now. I bought a set of 4 dropzone coilovers and shocks for my 99 civic ex. So I'm calling around to get prices on installation, and car shops keep telling me that my car doesn't have shocks at all, but it has struts. It says they're gas shocks on the box, so I don't know what to do now. I'm pretty much lost right now, and to make matters worse, I live in a pretty small town in Indiana with no import speed shop near. Help me out.

shocks/struts sort of the same just let them know you have all thats needed (struts) and want an installation price. If you dont need pillowmounts from your old setup i would be easy to do yourself. but if you need to reuse them the easy way would to take them to a shop or diy with a spring compressor. check out the diy section it will have good tips.

And also if your going to drop it to the ground i would suggest installing a camber kit at the same time.

Thanks guys, I'm planning on dropping it about 1.5 in the front and rear so hopefully I won't need a camber kit and won't have any problems with it.
