well, im trying to get a game plan going for my car. right now im saving up for a greddy turbo and intercooler kit. my main goal is to put down good numbers at the track. so i want to get the power to the ground. ive heard of people using traction bars so i looked around for some. heres some pics and descriptions of what i have found, tell me what yall think.
JimFab traction bar: $300 + shipping ![]() JimFab.com's replacement cross member is made from 4130 chromoly tubing and oversized steel brackets. This unit helps to lessen the harsh shuttering that the Civic, CRX, and Integras receive when under hard acceleration or high speed turns. This unit will also help to improve 60 foot times, not to mention the generous amounts of room it leaves for 4 to 1 headers or turbo kits. You will not find a better built part!!! This cross member uses high quality oversized Teflon lined rod ends, CNC machined parts for the radius rods and end cups, you will be impressed. The CRX cross member will work with a B-series swap. Not recommended for street use. Lakewood Traction Bars: $280 + shipping ![]() Designed to pre-load the front suspension which eliminates wheel hop and firmly plants the front tires to the pavement, maximizing traction potential during launch and reducing your 60ft time. The cross-over bar provides additional unibody support. High quality, race grade spherical rod ends provide full adjustability for drag, autocross, road race and street applications. Competition Engineering Traction System: $330.00 + shipping ![]() Bolt-on system mounts to existing locations to provide a solid connection between the chassis and lower suspension arm, no drilling or welding required Comes complete with crossmember and adjustable brackets for easy installation, chrome moly radius rods and left- and right-hand 1/2'' rod ends for simple on-car adjustment of pre-load Also includes all mounting hardware and easy to follow instructions Solid front suspension eliminates wheel hop and tire shake, transmits forces into chassis and keeps weight over the front end to greatly improve traction and 60-foot times Controls driveline loading to minimize wear and breakage 3-hole setting allows you to tune the suspension and adjust weight transfer for your particular ride height setting, ideal when using a lowering kit Designed for racing, remove radius rods for street use Patent pending Competition Engineering Front Lower Control Arms (to be used with above traction system): $400.00 + shipping ![]() Chrome moly construction is lighter and stronger than stock unit, saving 24 pounds in weight for both sides Direct, bolt-in replacement is simple to install with common hand tools and requires no welding Unlike rubber bushings used in stock control arm, spherical bearings allow suspension to move freely without binding or flexing Black powder coat finish for long lasting appearance 2 per package, includes all mounting hardware For racing only, not intended for street use Perfect companion to Traction System No. 247-9300 |

I've got JimFabs on my car- they work really well. I haven't seen the other two systems mounted up on a car, so I don't know how their geometry compares to JimFab's, Z10's, or Totem's.

I don't know about their mounts. I have pictures of the JimFab bars on my car... I think- but I'll have to dig for them. I definitely don't have them online anywhere.

The JimFabs have better geometry, but the Z10s work just as well. I've had both, and I'm running the JimFab bars right now.
