Quick question...
Do strut tower braces really do anything and is there a REAl Difference between brands and generic ones? I am looking at an OEM EG6 tower braces for the hatch, but want a REAL answer as to if they really make a noticeable difference at all.Is it worth the $$$? |

If you have upgraded sway bar then you will notice a differance when you put a strut bar in. If you just put the bar in without anything else you don't realy notice a difference.
And between name brand and a no name one. As long as it's a solid unit it will be good. Don't buy one of those adjustable ones they aren't good and can bend. Get a solid unit. |

Yes, they do help in drag racing. Chassis stiffness is a good thing no matter what kind of racing you do. The suspension still has to work properly to get you off the line cleanly. If your chassis flexes from side to side, you'll exaggerate wheel hop.
Solid braces > braces with joints |

Plus not to mention they do help in everyday driving, for example u wont have to slow to almost a stop just to make a turn down a street, and u turns will be a lot more fun. LOL

after the meet I had put on top and bottom front and back on my sedan. and had front and rear sway bars put in. Man o man there was a difference. I could make sharp ass turns with not so much as a chirp from my tires. it was cool. too bad I lost my job and had to sell all my stuff. but yea cusco, bennen neuspeed and mugen make all the best shit for suspension.
