Just lowered my car 1.5, The rubber along with the bolt thats between the lower portion of the controlarm and strut in the rear was rusted. A friend and I cut it out along with the rubber and replaced it with heavy duty stainless steel tubing and ran a new bolt thru the middle of it.
Now...only on my right rear strut Im hearing a knocking noise when pulling into garages and parking lots. Basiclly whenever my chassis twists unevenly pulling in and out of places. Do you think It might be from not getting the rubber bushing piece and using the stainless steel tubing or something else. I think its the tubing I used being that there is a tiny gap because i couldnt match the size. any other guesses before I go buy it tommorow??? |

Either that or the shaft isn't bolted down through the big rubber bushing at the top of the strut mount.
