I had to take a saw zaw cut ever so carefully in between the bushing and the lower arm.. to be able to drop the strut.

I got the strut out and the LCA off. the bolts just stuck in the trailing arm thread. I'm going to work on it tonight i sprayed a shit load of penetration oil on it last night. But i don't want o screw the threads up and have to buy and new trailing are. Maybe this would be a good time to do a rear disk convertion.

Why don't you drill the bolt out?

There is a special type of bit that is designed to back out a snapped bolt.
http://www.newmantools.com/drillout/
not sure what your exact situation is, therefor i cant guarantee that this will work. good luck.

yes and they dont work, this is what i had for mine.. broke all of them in the set.

mike the best bet is to put some heat on that nut thats tacked on the back side of the LCA, then try to work out the bolt to where you can get some needle nose plyers on the tip and work it out that way.. the heat will expand the nut and ease the grip on the bolt

Yeah i'm going to take a torch to it tonight. I snapped that one and the one that holds the shock to the LCA. I guess these things brake in pairs. Heats goingot be the only thing because it's really really tight. I had a 2 - 3 foot braking bar on it and it snapped. it's a clean break though. Just suck having to leave the car on a jack stand for the last two days because honda wasn't open on saturday to buy new bolts. $12 each!!!!! Almost as bad as the lug studs

I just welded my bolt to the strut. It worked great until I got new struts, but it gave me a good excuse to replace my lower control arms while putting in my agx's.

This is all too common, i remember IM'N erick about this shit a long as time ago... goodluck torching it, I used a heatgun for about 45mins and it didnt work for me, And it was a heavy duty heat gun. I did melt the rubber/plastic shit for the bushing and did it to both sides to get the bolt out. I had to also cut thru the bolt first which took an hour itself..Im riding on homemade rubber bushings at this point still and makes a small noise when pulling in and out of parking lots because of a small gap but rarely does it.

cliffnotes

10 am to 7pm working on suspension

10am- 4pm 2 lower control arm bolts below strut

the rest of the time coilover install.
