Long post warning. with cliffs

About a year ago I dropped my hatch. I used tein springs, (the EP specific ones) some vendor at another site was selling coupe and 4door ones to ep owners, but thats another story.

Well, I recently took a loot at my tie rod end bolt and it looks like its flexing big time!

Some time later ago I took a look at a mugen suspension and I noticed they mount the tie rod end upside down on the strut and this pretty much fixed that issue (on a track application i guess).

Time went by and I pretty much forgot about it, until someone made a thread about it elsewhere, and this is what they did.

Long post warning.

Cliffs:
  • Dropped my hatch about 1 yr ago (@2 inch drop)
  • Took a look at my tie rod end bolt thingy and its flexing...bad!
  • found a fix but I ant to know if it is safe before I do this. (link)
thanks!

Looks safe to me...safer than one that could be stressed to the point of bending or fracture. I'd take the word of a Spoon engineer.

Looks fine to me too- just get an alignment when you're done or your toe settings will be off.
