Ive had a problem since ive put my coilovers in. Basicly I hear a rubbing/creeking noise when going anything below 20mph or pulling in and out of lots.. I know coilovers do make noise (more so than a spring kit) But its only coming from 1 side. My rear passenger side..
At first I thought it was my bushings gone bad but when i press down on the trunk it sounds like its coming from the top portion of the strut?!? That strut was bad so my friend and I threw a 99 ex strut in there, Is this causing the problem?!? He says it most likely is.. Im replacing all 4 soon with some tokico's but I gotta drive on these stocks for a while.. Any good guesses or suggestions? it also makes a thump noise when I go up high curbs sometimes.. Will new LCA's, and struts solve this problem? |

sounds in moving points are always hard to pin point. You have a few things that could be involved here... Your spring obviously, then you have the shock/strut could be going under.
aside from that if it's only that side and at low speeds you might want to look into the bushin in the upper controler arm along with the point at which the strut bolts to the towers. Good luck bro |

Could be the shock, or could be the top of the spring up in there.

i doubt it could be anything dangerous...if it were something that were going to break or come off the sound would probably be more consistent. We had a car that came over to us that did that, everytime we dropped it down from being on jacks...it was the top of the spring popping on the mount.

alright here was the problem.. The cylinder that goes inside the spring has about 8 screws and lost 4 of them while 3 of them were salvaged at the bottom of the coilover.. 1 still inside not even holding it in place.
I hear some coilovers come with these and some dont, I think im just gonna get springs again. However I need a 1.5 drop, do any companys out there provide a 1.5 spring all I could find is 1.25 - 1.75 anybody know where I can find them? And who makes them? Thanks |

My to do list for the suspension is .. new struts, Springs, and lower Control arms. Its gonna be a huge investment but I need to do it. I know where I can get the LCA's at but the struts and springs Im still up in the air with..? |
