I put in my whole tokico HP strut, and spring setup, Megan racing LCA's and all. All new bushings..screws..the whole nine yards.

Now.. the tokico setup is supposed to be a 1.75 drop and thats what my car was with my coilovers..EXCEPT now that I've got the new kit in my car looks almost like a stock height again. Maybe looks like a 1. drop..wtf??

Is this because of all the new rubber bushings on the struts?? Does the setup need time to settle in, and compress itself somemore..? It just doesnt seem like the drop its stated to be.

Anyone have any clue? Also if my assumption is semi- correct.. How long would this take for rubber seals, and the springs etc... to settle and all??

BTW - I'll try to get some pics of the drop before and now. (also, my rims are 17's w/205-40-17) Its got about 1.-1.5 inch gap now...no gap before

I want to get my Si wheels, If I do im afraid now the shit will look fuckin hideous..

Yeah we just did this to murats car. We put eibach sport lines or pro kit on his car and now it sits pretty high vs. when he has his maxspeed coilovers on. My hatch did the same thing, it sat pretty high and it sank down a bit after a couple weeks of driving it. But my springs were weird cause the spring rate was setup for a EG hatch with a b series motor, so my car always sat a little higher in the front, until i dropped the GSR in.

So just give it a week or two, the springs will settle. Gotta remember those springs have never been on a car before so they need to settle.

well thankgod they dont come pre compressed , Thats wierd yours never settled though JT... I looked at my car after getting off work today and it looks as if its already starting to settle in a bit. The spring is pretty soft so im sure it shouldnt take too long before Its set. ( I wonder why yours didnt?)

thanks for reassuring me, I was hoping for some good news..

And murat changed his springs?!?! that guy is sure keeping the mods confidential..

well all i know is that all eibachs are pre compressed for like 72 hours under like 2500 lbs then they recoil for like the next 3-4 days. So this way when you install them and drop the car with all it's weight on it thats the height they will be.(check there site they have a bunch of info on them)

Murat must have the prokit because i have the sportsline kit 1.9" all around and it's a big drop. With my 17's on i almost tuck tire with my 14 steelies on it's like 1/16" from fender to tire

damn wish I knew that, I would have bought my kit separately. I just talked to a tokico tech guy from the 1800 # and he basicly told me that they have the kit for the 4 door, 2/3 door. Each model is different in terms of the drop..

Meaning-
4 door 1.75
2 door 1.25
3 door .75

pretty fuckin gay in terms of a drop. He said I would be lucky to get a quarter of an inch more after the car settles. Sooooooooo now im gonna try and look for another spring to get my car down there a little lower and sell the Tokicos that my car came with.

whats a not so hard, not too soft spring?? And what spring rate should I get If I want my car to look like this again?
