My current setup is like riding in a stage coach. The KYB's are absolutely horrible right now, and they are only a year old. The car isn't even lowered that much. I only have the coilovers adjusted to where there is minimal wheel gap, so I'm not slammed.

I remember the good old days of my Monroe shocks and stock springs and remember how nice of a ride it was. My question is, would brand new Monroe shocks last in my setup or would I be throwing away even more money?

The only reason this car is lowered is to reduce wheel gap with the wheels I'm sitting on. It holds no performance meaning to me at all. I just want minimal wheel gap and a ride like I'm floating on a cloud.

I know we have discussed this before and in finding new aftermarket shocks, but I've heard good things about KYB shocks, and now I hear bad things coming from the road.

I'm open for suggestions

well you voided your KYB's warrenty by putting coilovers on them, which you shouldnt have done in the first place. and yes if you throw pep boy monroe struts on there you will be wasting your money cause they will blow. So go buy yourself some lowering springs (Tein, Neuspeed, H&R, Tanabe) and some new KYB AGX's or Koni Yellows and then your car will ride like its on a cloud, other than that, get stock suspension back, your tires also have alot to do with it. the lower the profile the harder the ride.
