I just received my JimFab Crossmember bar today and couldn't wait to put it on. Installation was a breeze, but I say that loosely. Hypothetically, it should only take 20 minutes to install, but since certain bolts and nuts like to be stubborn, it took a little longer (2 hours).

I really couldn't test it to much tonight because of rain, but I did find some dry streets and gave it a whirl. I dumped the clutch around 4k and began the usual spinning with minimal wheel hop. Before the bar, it would wheel hop like a crackhead looking for a quick fix.

All in all, it was a pretty good purchase and would recommend them to anybody and everybody.

Check out www.jimfab.com for more information.

Oh, and if I have to keep retyping this message because I keep getting logged out, I will shoot someone. (maybe the creators)

Shoot someone already.

I'm glad that you like the JimFab bars. I have a set waiting to go on the Civic, so I'll have good pictures of the JimFabs, the Z10s, and the Totem bars all on 5th gen Civics. Everyone will be able to compare them and see what the differences are.

Oh, some people will say this bar COMPLETELY eliminates wheel hop. Don't believe them. Albeit, it minimizes wheel hop greatly, it will not stop it forever.

Mike, the glock is loaded. Tell me where to aim (logged in 5 times to create this reply)

I got a quick question. Why are these race only? Could you use them on an everyday type car? Thanks Scott

I would be interested in that.

"Race only" is probably just for liability, just like how almost every part you can buy aftermarket for your car says "off road use only". You can use these traction bars on your daliy driver. I've done it with the Z10 bars, and I'm going to do it with the JIMFABs too.

When I get my JIMFABs in with some pictures, I'll post up the comparison.

Well, from what I've heard, the designer of the Z10 bars left Z10 and co-designed the JimFab bars. So what does that tell you? Plus, the JimFab bars cost less. I'm very satisfied
