Ok so im not so much torn but maybe some reassurance that im making the correct decision.
Just got aproved for my first home. so i'll be going about 400k into debt. Obviously worth it but it's a huge investment. My cars suspension is just in the worst shape ever. I mean techically it's just the struts but my thinking i always want to redo everything. I have a "semi sponsorship" that i get parts for very very cheap. (going to be getting a lot of pretty parts in the next few months too free *dont worry no body kits all stock lines stuff lips and what not* but besides the point). With this hook up i can get a full Tein setup for about 700 bucks (the top of the line ones not coilovers.. but full coilovers). That being said i can invest in tokico's springs and struts for around 300 give or take. My question is. The car will be done this up comign week as far as engine stuff goes granted it will be an on going process of adding etc. But my focus now is going to be suspension. Now with all the stuff with houses and such coming up. Should i just go with tokico's and be happy with it. Or go with the extra fundage and be REALLY happy with the teins? Responsible eric says.. tokico and forget it. I want Eric says tein bitch what are you stupid? Kicker is i have to wait until jan-feb for the teins. But i mean i drive the 1-2 a month... so.. |

man I say go for the Tiens! No contest, just a little more wait. Besides our sport revolves around making sacrafices for our cars so I say eat the wait and get what you really want or you will always be a little dissapointed in what you have.

with tiens your gonna have to measure each wheel and make sure it sits exactly right and if you really want it to handle well you might as well take the car and have it corner balanced and all that jazz. But with a nice lowering spring/strut combo you dont have to worry about it. Im happy with my Tanabe/AGX combo.

Go Tokico Illumina with Progress Race springs, and then get the Tiens when you blow your struts.. or just sell them as a complete set later.

i'm going to side with the resposible eric. if you could spend less for something that is a good product and you will be happy with it, go for it. save the $400 and spend it on the house. It's going to take a chunk of change to make the house into a home, and $400 will basically cover paint and supplies.
