a coilover sleeve is functionally no different from a regular spring, dude. dropping 1.5" on HPs with coilover sleeves would put the same stress on the shocks as dropping 1.5" on HPs with eibach sport springs. i've already warned him of the risk of slamming his car on the blues, but he's not gonna blow his shocks righ away with a 1.5" drop.

i think its a waste, and he also said he wants to tuck his tires a bit, thats more then a 1.5inch drop, atleast it would be on my car. and if its such the same thing then why not just get springs, sleeve-overs are cheap. if u want coilovers, get coilovers, if u want spring/strut, get spring/strut. i feel that going out and purchasing, hp's then throwing some sleeve-overs on them is worthless. might as well just gets springs then. ull get ur 1.5inch drop, and ull get better quality and better suspension components.

imo---sleeve-overs=shitty.

I agree with joe, look at it this way the cheapest tiens cost about 750-800. and u get a way better qualiity product than the hp's with the ebaich coilovers. i say go with the hp's and a good set of springs (tanabe or tein) or go with a true coilover setup. most of them start around 750. u can also check out omnipower.
