Hey All,
Well, I've got a few questions for anyone and everyone out there. I am seriously looking into gettin some Tein SS coilovers for my 04 civic in the not so distant future and I was wondering if anyone out there uses any of thier stuff. I just want to get some reviews (both good or bad) so I can kinda get a feel as to if they're worth shelling all of that money out for or if something else would be better. The other thing I know I'll need with those is a Camber Kit. So, with that said, who makes a good kit. Not only for the front, but the rear too! I was also wondering too if it'd be a smart idea to put the kit on the same time I did the coilovers or wait for the springs to settle naturally.. The thing is with the Tein's is that I'll be playing around with the ride height until I get it where I want it and where it's safe to drive with. I don't really feel like having to pay for alignments 23 times because I keep messin with the ride height and keep throwing off the camber and toe. Anyhow, if anyone can give me some advice on this, that'd be awesome. It'll be a few months before I get all of this together and find a good shop to put all this on for me (I'd do it myself but lack the tools). Thanks again for the help John |

I have a set of Tein Flex coilovers with custom spring rates on my 5G Civic, and I love them. I've also installed Tein SS coilovers on a friend's 6G, and they were great too. I plan on buying Tein again for my S2000.
I don't know who makes good camber kits for the 7G Civic. For the 6G and before, Skunk2, Omnipower, Ingalls and Progress are names that are at the top of the list. Since your 7G has a MacPherson strut setup, you can probably choose top hats for your coilovers that will allow camber and caster adjustment from directly under the hood. As for changing ride height, your alignment will change every time you play with the height. You need to be quick and just set your car how you like it, then get an alignment and be done with it. The Teins won't settle all that much. |

Honestly, I dont like tein much at all. Ive always ran zeal or JIC. BUT, my 7th gen buddies all buy tein from me, and the flex or ss do great on that car. HKS also make coilovers for that car, which are great. Iwould say since you have a 7th gen civic, to go for it, the spring rates are high and good, unlike teins coilovers for other cars.

I went with custom rates on my Civic's setup, and I like the rates for the S2000. JIC and Zeal also make awesome coilovers.

You really can't go wrong with any of those, HKS, TEIN, JIC etc. Let us know what you choose.
