I have GR-2's lowered 1.5" on Ground-Controls. I bought them cheap off eBay, so keep that in mind when I tell you that the two rear struts broke minutes after install. The washer that is machined onto the strut broke, sending the strut about 6 inches into my trunk area. No damage or anything, but it was still a pain. We used a thicker washer just lying around in its place and had no troubles since (it's been around two months). I have never heard of this problem on any other KYB shocks with this reasonable drop. They are also warrenteed for any drop at or under 1.5" so I say go for 'em.

Aaron, I've got no problems with my GR-2s on the CRX, and that's with a 2.5" drop (about) on crappy springs. The ride actually feels pretty nice. Go hit up Tire Rack for dirt cheap prices- they're the cheapest out of all the online shops I've tried, even compared to Group Buy Center and Shox.com. Surprising eh?

My friend has them on his hatch and it has a good ride minus the fact that his coilovers are crappy. I believe he bought his through summit racing.

Do it your self it's easy. If not your going to pay about $50 each corner.
While your there you should change you stock shocks (civic don't use struts) Becuase if you don't you will end up doing it all over again within 6 months. |
