I am not proud of it, but I lowered my car over a year and a half ago on my stock struts. It will probably be another half of a year until I finally get some aftermarket struts. Just make sure that you get your car aligned and purchase a camber kit if necessary after lowering the car.

Just let the tire pressure out till' you're running on like 5psi. That should give you close to a 3" drop!
