Need Shock Absorbers????

Hi. I have a 1998 EK3 and i need 2 new shock absorbers on the left side. I have been advised to get 4 rather than just the 2, but i was wondering if anyone has any ideas where to get them for a fair price. I dont just want cheap crap, i want them to last but i also dont want them to be too expensive. Can anyone help???

Have you tried checking on ebay or at car-stuff.com? Got installed monroe shocks and I just get more miles. Replacing it would actually have a better ride. Well, check this out for more info, popularmechanics.com/how_to_central/automotive/1272396.html. Hope it will help.
