Ok. The First step is to jack up the car and secure it with jack stands.
Second Step is to get on the passenger side of the transmission, and locate the Check bolt, and the Drain bolt. The check/fill bolt is the higher of the two. Take the appropiate sized socket (don't remember the size) and loosen the check bolt. Now if your fluid is topped off it should be even with the hole when the bolt is removed. Caution when removing the bolt to check fluid level, although the fluid should be even with the bolt, it may be over the bolt and come gushing out when the bolt is removed. This was the case with my car. The fluid is very hard to clean off of concrete so lay some ground cover down if you wish to keep the work area clean.
If the fluid is at the proper level then u know you don't have a leak. After you check the fill hole, Take a 3/8" socket extension and place it in the drain bolt and loosen. Get a drain pan ready and just like oil pull the bolt away quickly and drain into a 2qt or larger container. Let drain completly then clean the drain bolt and retighten it. Now Take about a three foot section of 1/2" vinyl hose and insert into the fill hole and run the hose to the top of the car and insert a funnel into the other end of the hose. Now just pour transmission fluid into the funnel untill the hole starts to overflow iwith fluid. I used Royal Purple Synchromax manual tranny fluid and my Car took about 2 QTs of fluid. It's a good idea to use a fluid with special lubricants for the synchro gears. After this step just Re tighten the check/fill bolt and clean up the work area and wipe any excess fluid away, and take a test drive.
