After my accident my insurance company gave me a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant to use while my car was being repaired. At first I didn't like the car, but it grew on me. Anyways, the Galant always had its headlights on whenever ignition was turned on. I liked that and I grew accustomed to that so I am thinking about wiring my headlights to do the same. I've had my civic back for a week now and thank God for the dummy alarm because I keep forgetting to shut off my headlights.

Has anyone attempted this or know/read/seen someone do this? I assume all I would have to do is extend my headlight wires through the firewall and splice them into the ignition, but I could be way off. Anyone have any suggestions or hints? Thanks

The only time I've seen it done is on an integra. The highbeams were wired to be daytime running lights, as they come in canaduh. You're correct though, all you'd have to do is run the power wire for the headlight to a 12v ignition source.

I believe on integras the DTRL are on the highbeam light, since they are separate.

hum.... well.. this might not be related.. but one of my highbeams is out... driverside highbeams doesnt work at all..

and its not the light bulb.. i can switch the light housing from the pass side to the driver side and it still will not work..

its something to do with the wiring.. any ideas would be great or any quick fixes.. like splacing the high beams from the pass side and running wires to the driver side or soemthing...
