well on my 98 civic there's a little connector behind the kickpanel on the passenger's side. It's just got a plastic covering on it. All you have to do is take a paper clip and short the connection (a manual tells you exactly where... i'm not sure right now 'cause I dont have mine), and then your cel flashes a number of times. The number of flashes tells you what the code is. Once again, a manual will tell you what it is.

How To Check CEL

The CFS is located behind the crank pully and timing belt cover. It is mounted around the crank gear.

It didn't work. lol

I just drove 2 minutes to autozone while I was on my way to the bank anyway. Seems easier for the lazy type of guy I am.

You can check the normal MIL codes with all Honda/Acura OBD2 vehicles, but you won't be able to read the OBD2 "P" codes unless you have an OBD2 scanner which is what they use at Autozone.

You basically jump the service connector thats found underneath the passenger side glove box area to trip off the MIL light. It's usually stuffed up under the dash pretty good, inside of a green rubber block as explained here:
http://technet.ff-squad.com/how-to/celcheck/

As already mentioned, the CKF sensor is located right on the oil pump right behind the crank pulley as seen here:
